1.Welcome & Opening – David Colhoun
David will set the scene with the latest from Colhoun Genetics: how decades of performance breeding have built genetics that deliver on-farm.
2. Main Presentation – Deane Carson (Agribusiness Consultants Ltd)
Deane will cover everything you need for modern sheep-farming success — feeding & productivity, lamb survival & growth, technology & AI in genetics, the key threats & challenges, farmer wellbeing & succession, and industry & marketing. Practical, visionary, ready to apply on-farm.
3. Rams for Sale – On View at the Field Day
Top-quality rams from Colhoun Genetics will be available for inspection; see how the genetics translate in the paddock.
Plus: 45 ram-lambs for sale from Garth Shaw — a great opportunity to secure next-season’s breeding stock.
Inspect, compare, ask questions — we’ll have the team on hand.
4. Display Feature: CF MOTO Bikes
As part of the afternoon, we’re delighted to have a display of CF MOTO bikes. These machines embody the motto “lighter, stronger, smarter” — highlighting how smart design, advanced technology and simple efficiency can make a difference.
BBQ & Networking
After the formal programme we’ll relax with a BBQ and refreshments from 4.30 pm. A perfect time to connect with fellow farmers and industry contacts, talk through what you’ve seen, and consider what’s next for your operation.
